Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway Project wins Platinum Award at the LIFE Awards 2022

Introduced by TI IC in 2020, the LIFE Awards aim to motivate employees to build safety consciousness and a robust safety culture.

In its 3rd year, projects were shortlisted for the Awards on the criteria of:

  • Zero reportable Lost Time Injury (LTI)
  • No insurance claim (human injury & property damage) due to workrelated incidents
  • Operational for at least 6 months with more than 1 million manhours clocked during the calendar year 2022

At the culmination of the audit, 7 project sites emerged as winners:

The Platinum Award – the highest-level award given to one project from across the IC – calls for zero reportable LTIs since inception and the winning project selected basis a presentation to a jury comprising the IC HR Head, Business Heads, and EHS Head.

Project Directors, Project Managers, and EHS Heads of all winning projects were then invited to the respective SBG townhalls to receive their LIFE Award trophies. All 851 staff members working at the winning project sites during the assessment period were awarded certificates and gift vouchers for their efforts to ensure a Loss and Injury Free Environment.

The LIFE Awards have immensely helped TI IC to enhance the level of employee engagement, and motivate employees to maintain high Safety standards at all project sites.
